Montreal, April 25th, 2019 – From April 23th to 25th 2019, QFTC representatives hosted three American producers for a visit of Quebec studios and production companies, in Montreal and in the Laurentians. During this Fam Tour, a series of site visits and meetings were organized to connect invited producers with potential Quebec partners and explore shooting infrastructures. Participants also took part in exclusive meetings and networking activities to present the Quebec production service offering in the movie and television sectors.

The producers invited for this tour were:
- Ms. Nicole Jackson, Manager of Television Production, Sonar Entertainment
- Ms. Danielle Gerber, Production Executive, Hulu
- Mr. Luca Matrundola, Head of Production, AMBI Group
Organized by QFTC’s Film Commission department, Fam Tours aim to give local industry professionals the chance to promote their expertise and their know-how among foreign producers. “We are very proud to sustain our outreach efforts by inviting renowned Hollywood industry producers in Montreal. These valuable meetings between our professionals and major US studios are undeniably one of the best ways to yield positive economic benefits for our creative industry” stated Pierre Moreau, Chief Executive Officer of the QFTC.
In 2018, foreign productions accounted for $378M CAD in economic impact, while Quebec visual effects studios generated $493M CAD through their contribution to over a hundred projects. The QFTC thanks the Tour participants for their trust and their support, as well as its partner Corporate Stays for hosting our networking event.
